Purpose Statement


Lake Norman Christian School exists to create an inviting climate for learning using developmentally appropriate curriculum that challenges students to excel while developing a strong sense of community and Christ-like character that honors God and others.

Vision


In order to fulfill our purposes, the following on-going goals have been established.

  1. To develop a community of learning that is purposeful, communicative, just, disciplined, caring, celebrative, and Christ-centered.

  2. To unite teachers, parents, church, and the community in an effort to provide a loving and supportive environment that will encourage students to reach their full potential academically and spiritually.

  3. To study various fields of knowledge helping students to make connections across disciplines in order to equip them for their chosen vocation.

  4. To establish well defined goals for student achievement through appropriate evaluations that measure individual growth.

Theological Statement of Faith

  1. We believe that there is one and only one God, eternally existing in three coequal and co-substantial persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  5. We believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. Only through faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation which was made possible by His death and resurrection, can that alienation be removed. Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty.

  6. People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through His forgiveness and salvation. Heaven and Hell are real and literal places of eternal existence.
