Mr. Dave Walters joined Lake Norman Christian School last year as Head of School. Mr. Walters comes to LKNC from Montreat College, in Montreat, NC, where he was Associate Professor of Business and Chair of the Business and Computer Information Systems Department. While at Montreat College, he also served as Vice-President for Adult Studies and Corporate Services.

He attended Montreat-Anderson College and received an Associates of Arts Degree in 1969. A two-year college at that time, he went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, where he graduated as a "Distinguished Military Graduate" and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Army. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel, after serving our nation for 22 years in increasing levels of management and leadership.

He received a Master's Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and completed his doctoral course work in Organization and Management, specializing in Marketing, at Capella University.

Dave is married to his college sweetheart, the former Jamie Davey of Miami, Florida, also a graduate of Montreat. They have two grown sons, two daughters-in-love, two grandchildren, and two labs.

Dave and Jamie are members of Story Memorial Presbyterian Church, in Marion, North Carolina. They are now searching for a church to be a part of in the Lake Norman area. Over the years, Dave and Jamie have both been active in teaching Bible studies at church and in their home.

A couple favorite Bible verses of Mr. Walters are Psalm 33:12 and Psalm 86:11.
